- Chimney flashing. Step and apron flashing where shingles meet brick.
- Skylights. Usually the flashing around the frame, not the glass.
- Vent pipe boots. The rubber collars crack after years in the sun.
- Ridge vent. Lets the attic breathe. A poor fit lets wind-driven rain in.
- Eaves and gutters. Ice and clogged gutters push water under the bottom rows.

Services
Roofs, repairs, and the parts that keep water out
From one missing shingle to a full tear-off, plus the flashing and gutters that move water where it should go.
-
Roof replacement
Asphalt shingle and metal roofs. Tear-off, new underlayment, flashing and ventilation, done as one job so the new roof isn't sitting on old problems.
-
Roof repairs and leaks
Missing shingles, a drip by the chimney, a stain spreading on the ceiling. Plenty of leaks turn out to be a repair, not a new roof.
-
Storm and hail damage
Wind-lifted shingles, hail bruising and dented flashing. We document the damage and help with the insurance paperwork.
What to do after a storm -
Gutters and downspouts
New gutters, sagging runs re-hung, and downspouts that carry water away from the foundation instead of dumping it beside it.
-
Roof inspections
Before you buy or sell, after a storm, or when the roof is getting on in years. You get a written report of what we found.
-
Skylight and chimney flashing
Chimneys and skylights are where the shingles stop and the flashing takes over. We reflash them so water runs past, not under.
Storm damage and leaks
Water coming in, or a storm just went through?
Where water shows up inside is rarely where it got in. It can run along the roof deck and rafters for a while before it reaches a ceiling.
Leaking right now
Emergency leak calls are taken any time, day or night.
Until we get there
- Move furniture and electronics out of the way and put a bucket under the drip.
- If a ceiling is sagging with water, keep everyone out from under it.
- Take photos inside for your records. Stay off the roof, especially while it's wet.
After hail or high wind
Damage isn't always visible from the ground
Lifted shingles, bruised granules and dented flashing can all start leaking months later. We look the roof over and write down what we find, with photos.
If you file a claim, we help with the insurance paperwork. Whether a claim is approved is up to your insurer.

How it works
From the first look to the last nail
-
1
Inspect
We look at the roof up close, and from the attic when we can get to it, then show you photos of what we found.
-
2
Written estimate
You get the price and the scope in writing: materials, flashing, ventilation and clean-up. Nothing starts until you say so.
-
3
The work
We set a start date with you, cover plantings and the yard, and do the job. You'll know how many days it should take before we start.
-
4
Clean-up
We pick up every day, run a magnet over the lawn and driveway for nails, and haul the old roof away.

Sample reviews

We had a drip by the chimney every time it rained hard and figured it meant a new roof. Dave came out, found the flashing had pulled away, and fixed that instead. It's been dry since.
They replaced our whole roof last fall. The written estimate listed everything, the crew picked up each evening, and the driveway was clear when they left.
After the hailstorm in June they looked the roof over, took photos, and helped me sort out the insurance paperwork. They were upfront that the decision was up to the insurance company.
